Wilson Quarterly Article on the Fall of the Berlin Wall
The Wilson Quarterly, published by the Woodrow Wilson Center at the Smithsonian, is a wonderful periodical. It has longer original articles and short summaries or reviews of items of interest in politics, policy, social science, etc. A recent issue had an inspiring essay on what was going on inside East Germany for years before the fall of the Wall. (See http://www.wilsoncenter.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=wq.essay&essay_id=554404.) It's interesting to note that the Monday night church peace meetings in Leipzig were down to as few as 10 attendees during the mid 1980s, but they kept on meeting.
